PGY-1
As a first-year podiatry resident, you will spend about 4 months on Podiatric Medicine and Surgery service, plus shorter rotations in other specialties such as Infectious Disease, Emergency Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery, to name a few. All residents will spend time in the Podiatry Outpatient Clinic, the Wound Care Clinic and Podiatry private practices.
PGY-2
In the second year, residents can expect to double the amount of time spent in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. You will still rotate on a few services, including Plastic Surgery and pain management. Residents will also continue clinic and office work during PGY-2.
PGY-3
As a PGY-3 resident, you will spend a two-week rotation on Psych, and can opt for an elective rotation. The rest of the academic year will be spent in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, as well as in the Podiatry Outpatient Clinic, Wound Care Clinic and private practice offices.
