Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center, established in 1855, is the critical care regional referral center within the Mercy Health – Northern Region, a six hospital faith-based system serving northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. St. Vincent is home to five Life Flight air ambulances, holds the highest designation for treating high risk mothers & babies, Comprehensive Stroke Center and is a Level I Trauma Center for children & adults. Located on the St. Vincent campus are; Orthopedics, Mercy Health – Regional Heart and Vascular Institute, Mercy Health Neuroscience Institute, and the area’s only Mobile Stroke Unit. St. Vincent provides a modern, attractive and secure campus and also takes a leadership role in providing quality medical education and community development.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is a unique partnership among the area’s premier medical facility, Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Dayton. Based on models of state-of-the-art facilities around the country, Nationwide Children’s Hospital has the full range of sophisticated facilities demanded by advanced pediatric care including:

  • A 16-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with long-term seizure monitoring
  • A 30-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with a perinatal center. Level III is the highest designation awarded by the Ohio Department of Health to hospitals that provide care for high-risk newborns.
  • A 26-bed general pediatric unit
  • A Level I Trauma Center for adults and children, the highest designation awarded by the American College of Surgeons

Since 1953, Mercy Health – St. Charles Hospital has been providing for the healthcare needs of Toledo’s eastern communities. A 390-bed Level III Trauma Center, St. Charles serves residents of Oregon, East Toledo and Lucas, Wood and Ottawa counties.

St. Charles provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient care and offers a homelike maternity center, a comprehensive cancer center, acute inpatient rehabilitation services and a women’s health center. With its modern facility, St. Charles takes a leadership role in providing quality care and community development.
