Each rotation is one month long.

Residency Didactics

Weekly half day protected time. Programs include resident and faculty lectures, case presentations, textbook review, and exam question discussion. Topics are based on the SCORE curriculum and ACOS model curriculum.

Weekly completion of the ACS on-line weekly readings and quiz. Annual subscription to the ACS surgical SCORE curriculum website is provided.

Monthly Morbidity/Mortality Conference
Monthly Journal Club
Monthly surgery lab

PGY1 complete a laparoscopic didactics/skills lab, ACLS, PALS and ATLS certification.

PGY2 complete a weekly 3-month cadaver dissection/surgical anatomy course.

Robotic simulation and procedure training is provided

Research is required, with oversight and support provided by the Academic Research Coordinator.
